Butterflies and their Caterpillars

Over 140 species of butterfly are found in Victoria including native and introduced species and sub-species. Three of the butterfly species commonly found in the City of Whitehorse include the Australian Painted Lady Butterfly, the Dainty Swallowtail Butterfly and the Meadow Argus Butterfly which are usually found near creek banks and wooded areas.
