Amendment C213 replaces the existing Student Accommodation Policy at Clause 22.14 with a revised and updated policy. The updated policy seeks to reference an extensive recent body of work that has been completed in regards to student accommodation in Whitehorse.
The policy applies to all planning permit applications for use or development of accommodation in the City of Whitehorse intended to house students undertaking tertiary study. View more on the Student Accommodation Study page.
A planning scheme amendment is a process undertaken to make a change to the planning scheme. A planning scheme amendment must follow procedures set out in the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and any directions set by the Minister for Planning.

In accordance with the ‘Availability of Planning Documents’ Practice Note dated July 2016, your personal information is collected by the City of Whitehorse for the purposes of the planning process as set out in the Planning and Environment Act 1987 (PE Act). If you do not provide your name and address, the City of Whitehorse will not be able to consider your submission/objection.
Any submission/objection will be available at the Civic Centre office for any person to inspect and copies may be made available on request to any person until the end of the period during which an application for review of a decision may be made.
