National Sorry Day recognises the impact of Australian historical policies, practices and attitudes for First Nations peoples.
Honouring the ongoing survival of the world's oldest living culture, the Whitehorse Sorry Day Flag Raising Ceremony demonstrates Council’s acknowledgement of past injustices and support for Reconciliation. In the spirit of Reconciliation, the event is led by a Wurundjeri Elder and Councillor.
