Whitehorse Seniors Festival 2026 – Connect, Create, Celebrate

The Whitehorse Seniors Festival ( PDF 6.77MB) returns this October with hundreds of free and low-cost activities designed to inspire, entertain and connect older residents throughout the month.

Whether you'd like to discover a new hobby, improve your health and wellbeing, meet new people, learn a new skill or simply enjoy a great day out, there's something for everyone.

The festival includes:

  • Live music, dancing and theatre
  • Art, craft and exhibitions
  • Health, fitness and wellbeing activities
  • Technology and digital learning
  • History talks and guided tours
  • Gardens, nature and outdoor activities
  • Cooking, social lunches and cultural celebrations
  • Family-friendly activities to enjoy with children and grandchildren

 

Hosted by Your Community

Local clubs, community groups, neighbourhood houses, libraries, businesses and Whitehorse City Council are coming together to offer a diverse program of activities throughout October.

Explore what's happening in your neighbourhood, try something new, meet new people and discover activities you can enjoy all year round.

Victorian Seniors Card holders can also enjoy free public transport across Victoria from 3–11 October.

The program includes booking information for activities. Some events have limited places, so bookings are recommended.

Printed copies of the program are also available from Council facilities, Whitehorse libraries and neighbourhood houses across Whitehorse.

Whitehorse Seniors Festival Grand Opening

Come and enjoy dancing, choir and swing band performances, browse art and craft displays, try activities, and experience the welcoming community spirit of U3A Nunawading.

Natural Environment Showcase - Seniors Festival

Discover more about the natural environment and sustainability in Whitehorse. Hear about current projects and opportunities to get involved.

In the delightful setting of Blackburn Lake Sanctuary Visitor Centre, meet staff and volunteers to find our more about what's going on in Whitehorse.

The Showcase will include:

  • Gardens for Wildlife
  • Sustainability & Waste
  • Environmental Education
  • Environmental Volunteering
  • Park Advisory Committees and Friends Groups

Short guided walks of Blackburn Lake Sanctuary will leave at 10.15am, 10.45am, 11.15am and 11.45am for those more active.

Refreshments will be available.

Whitehorse One Voice – The Big Sing community rehearsal

Come along to a fun community rehearsal before the Spring Festival performance. Sing familiar tunes and enjoy a supper.
All ages welcome, no singing experience required.
