Get planting to support the local environment at National Tree Day in Whitehorse this month.
Whitehorse Councillor Denise Massoud said this fun annual community event, ending with a free barbecue, enhanced the local environment and improved a Whitehorse open space for all to enjoy.
“All are welcome to register as volunteers and help out. I have been to many National Tree Day events and they are always good fun and it is wonderful to see what has been achieved at the end of the event,” Cr Massoud said.
“Your work is also something you can monitor over the months and years to see what a difference you have made to Whitehorse.”
Plants are supplied, but participants are asked to bring a shovel or mattock if they have one.
