Matsudo Week

On 15 May 2026, I attended the Boite Voice of the Earth concert to celebrate Whitehorse Matsudo Week. This year marked the 55th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Whitehorse and Matsudo.

National Tree Day

On 26 July 2026, Whitehorse will conduct planting at Cootamundra Walk East as part of National Tree Day. If you would like to register to attend, please visit National Tree Day

Single Day Residential Parking Permit

There are a number of areas within Wattle Ward that have 30-minute parking restrictions. Some residents have told me they would like the ability to host visitors at their property for more than 30 minutes when a residential parking permit is not available. Council is currently considering a single-day residential parking permit to respond to these challenges. The first round of community consultation has now been completed and feedback received is currently being considered as part of development of the draft plan. A second round of consultation on the draft plan is expected to commence shortly, providing the community with a further opportunity to review and provide feedback before the plan is finalised.

Box Hill City Oval

On 16 May 2026, I attended Box Hill City Oval to see the first VFL match following the refurbishment of the oval and the Southern Pavilion. The western pavilion construction is well underway, and I look forward to its completion, which will provide more opportunities for community groups to access high-quality facilities.

Melbourne Loong Football Club

On 10 May 2026, I participated in a Melbourne Loong Football Club community training session. Melbourne Loong plays a modified version of AFL called AFL Nines, which features no tackling, a shorter game format, and a smaller rectangular pitch. It is designed to be a more social game. I look forward to seeing the results of the upcoming competition.
