The Jasmine Senior Dance Group is a not-for-profit organization. We are dance club focus on offer participation opportunities for members of the Whitehorse Community.
We are gathering Australian aged Chinese to stay active, connect with the community, maintain and pass on our cultural exchange. The group is comprised of mainly senior citizens. All members are encouraged to participate in the development of traditional Chinese dance and other ethnic cultural dance styles. Some members contribute to dance choreography and others in costume making and prop design. The group is frequently involved in performances at residential care facilities, kindergarten, community centres, street festivals and park activities.
There are 300 around performances have served to Whitehorse community and the elderly service groups near the 20 years now. We communicate with society and bring them warmth and happiness.
Some of the countries from which our members have come include China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam and Indonesia.
