NextSense Kindergarten at Blackburn provides a specialist early learning program where children who are deaf or hard of hearing learn alongside their hearing peers. As part of NextSense, a leading Australian not-for-profit with more than 160 years of experience supporting people with hearing and vision loss, our kindergarten helps children build the skills and confidence they need to thrive at school and beyond.

Our inclusive, play-based program combines the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework with specialist support tailored to each child's individual strengths and goals. Children benefit from small class sizes, highly qualified teachers, allied health professionals and access to evidence-based therapies and assistive technology where needed.

We work in close partnership with families, recognising them as experts in their child's development. Together, we create personalised learning experiences that foster communication, social connection, independence and a lifelong love of learning.
