On this form you will be able to select to apply for pre-registration which includes a floor plan assessment and progress inspections prior to registering. This ensures that your premises complies with relevant standards and minimises the risk of having to undertake costly remedial works.

Undertake any works to your premises to ensure it complies with the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009
Obtain a Certificate of Final Inspection or Occupancy Permit (if required) from a building surveyor.
These documents must be submitted in full prior to a final inspection being undertaken by the Environmental Health Unit.
Application to Register
You will be given permission to trade after:
• A final inspection has been conducted
• You have lodged of an Application to Register form
• You have made payment of the applicable fee
Eligible businesses that solely provide hairdressing and/or temporary make-up services – can apply for ongoing registration if:
• The business remains at the same address
• The proprietor remains the same
• The activities remain only hairdressing and/or temporary make-up services
Low risk procedures such as hairdressing, hairstyling, manicures/pedicures and make up procedures can be conducted in the client’s home or other setting (such as a hotel, hostel, day care centre or nursing home) if the operator is registered with the Council where they live.
Council’s 5-Star Health Hygiene Assessment System evaluates hygiene standards of Personal Care and Body Art Premises such as beauty therapy, body piercing, tattooists and colonic irrigation.
