About Pet Registration
The registration period is from 10 April each year and you’ll be sent an annual renewal reminder in February - March. By providing your mobile phone number and contact email, we can save paper by sending you registration reminders. We may also send dog owners a text message to inform them of fireworks occurring in the area.
We will waive the fee if you’re moving from another council and have already paid your registration for the current year. However, we will need proof of this, so have the Certificate of Current Registration from the other Council ready to upload (NOTE: A Pet Registration Renewal Notice will not be accepted).
To register your pet in Whitehorse for the first time, choose the link to the correct registration type in the tables below. Please don't forget to provide the required documentary evidence to support your application.
